Will my insurance pay for my visit and treatment?

We do not "participate" with any insurance companies at this time.  Payment is expected at the time services are rendered.  We will provide you or your insurance company with a completed HCFA 1500 insurance claim form with appropriate diagnosis and procedure codes.  You may submit this form to your insurance company or we will mail it for you.  Many (but by no means all) health insurance plans provide some degree of reimbursement for “out of plan” visits.  When more information is required, our staff will be pleased to work with you and your insurance company.

What do I need to bring for treatments?

For any intravenous treatments, it is recommended that you bring something to eat and drink as well as reading or work material.  We do have TV VCR’s in our treatment rooms so, if you have a favorite movie you would like to view, please bring it with you.

What is environmental and integrative medicine?

Environmental medicine is the diagnosis and treatment of diseases that are directly or indirectly caused or made worse by factors in our environment.  These could include sensitivities to foods, allergens, such as pollen, heavy metals or other substances.  Integrative medicine is the holistic combining of  modern day medical practice with more traditional, complementary, and alternative practice for the total well-being of an individual.  It employs modern medical diagnostic testing with traditional and non-traditional treatments to improve overall well-being.

I have seen a number of doctors who say, “It’s in my head.”  How are you different?

At CEIM we believe that through careful evaluation and truly listening to your history and paying attention to your symptoms we can often find causes that have been overlooked or ignored by other health care providers.  We believe that each person we see at CEIM is an active partner and, indeed, the director of their health care.  Together, we can find the best treatment to meet your needs.

How can I get a prescription refilled?

Contact the office during normal business hours at least one week prior to running out.  Last minute refills are uncertain. If necessary, the physician may require an office visit to determine the appropriateness of a refill request.

How can I find out results to my tests?

Following the HIPPA Privacy guidelines, all laboratory test results will be communicated to you in person or by a mailed medical report--unless there is a life-threatening result which we will notify you by the fastest means possible.  Ideally we like to gather all test results and set up an appointment for you to review the results (there is no charge for the appointment to review lab results).  It may take several days or even a week for us to receive all your results so please be patient.  You are welcome to call us at anytime to check on the status of your lab tests.
